Welcome to the Burgh Away Day Pie League

Let’s be honest… we already know Johnstone Burgh serves the best pie around, so this league is all about the away days.

Throughout the season, we will be sampling the matchday food at every ground Burgh visit to find out who really serves the best pie in the league.

Each pie is scored using our official Burgh Away Day Pie League ratings, from 🤢 Pish (0 points) right up to 🏆 Superb (5 points). Those points are then added to our league table, where the clubs battle it out to be crowned Burgh Away Day Pie League Champions.

We’ll always review the stadium’s signature pie first. If Burgh return to the same ground later in the season for a cup tie or another fixture, we’ll try something different from the menu instead – whether that’s a steak pie, sausage roll, bridie or another hot snack. That way, every visit gives us something new to review.

The football might not always be five-star… but hopefully the pies are!
